When I used an exact match item bought a few years ago through AVIP provider Clear, the TV acquired the network and perform as desired. The device indicated by its lights that it had connection and was sending/receiving data but the TV's couldn't detect the network. I bought this item to work with alorady owned ones to provide internet access to my televisions to take advantage of 'On Demand' features.
